If you ever wanted to try a suction yelper, or want to experiment on how different chambers effect the sound of a suction yelper, I have a cool little project for you.
You need:
1. 1-USED shotgun shell with primer removed
2. 1- drinking straw
3. 1- mixing straw
4. Tape
In the following pictures you will get an idea of the lengths to start with, you can experiment to create the sound you find most realistic and easiest to play.
After you build a couple you will have the basics to build wing bone yelpers, cane yelpers, wood trumpets, etc...
This is great interactive project for kids and adults at clubs, sport shows, Scouts and 4-H.
Cost is pennies each :) And the sound you get will be perfect to take to the field and hunt with, it will call in turkeys as well as any $100 suction yelper!
